Celebrating 100 Years
One family. One road. One hundred years.
Our Story
Before it was a pub, it was a home.
The Keating family have been at Derrynane Harbour since 1896, when the building first opened as a small hotel, Keating's Darrynane Hotel, as it was known then, welcoming visitors to one of the most remote and beautiful corners of Ireland.
A bar room was added in 1926-27, and something shifted. It stopped being a place people passed through and became a place people returned to. That distinction, between passing through and returning, has defined this building ever since.
The bar has now been open for a hundred years, and the things that made it worth coming to are still here. The fire. The lamb sandwiches. The Guinness.
The centenary is a beginning, not just a milestone.
A hundred years of memories. We're collecting them all.
